Optional Domiciliary Care

Care You Choose

Practical, everyday help — arranged around you, and only if and when you want it.

The Marigold Royale works in partnership with our in-house Domiciliary Provider, Empathy Care IOW Ltd, who will assist or/and arrange any care requirements that may be required. This is an optional service available to you.

  • Arranged entirely at your choice
  • Delivered by an established local care partner
  • Can be increased or reduced as needs change
  • Or use a provider of your own choosing

We also utilise the services of a two weekly Hairdresser, and a six weekly Chiropodist.

Wight Care Monitoring

Reassurance You Can Rely On

One is practical, everyday help. The other is the quiet confidence of knowing that, whatever happens, someone will respond.

Wight Care Monitoring

We also offer to arrange on our people's behalf a subscription to Wight Care if required. This is an Island based monitoring provider who can supply people with either a Pendant or Wrist Band to activate in the event of an emergency.

This monitoring system, once activated, sends a signal to Wight Care, who will respond accordingly by either contacting the emergency services, a dedicated family or a staff member as appropriate. It will also enable them to speak with the person via the audio link in the apparatus and is available 24/7.

  • Pendant or Wrist Band

Supplied to activate in the event of an emergency.

  • Audio Link

Lets Wight Care speak with the person directly through the apparatus.

  • Right Response

Emergency services, a dedicated family member or a staff member — as appropriate.

  • Available 24/7

Round-the-clock monitoring, every day of the year.

Common Questions

Things Families Ask Us

If your question isn't here, please just ask. There is no such thing as a silly question when you're making a decision like this.

Ask Us Directly
What is included in the accommodation cost?

Your apartment, meals prepared by our chef, use of all communal facilities, building maintenance, and access to the emergency monitoring system. Optional care services are arranged and charged separately, so you only ever pay for the support you actually want.

Do I have to have care if I don't need it yet?

No. Care is entirely optional and arranged at your request. Many residents live completely independently and simply value knowing that help is available if and when things change.

Can we arrange care through our own provider?

Yes. Residents are free to choose their own care provider. We also work in partnership with Empathy Care IOW Ltd, an established local provider, for anyone who would like us to help arrange it.

Can the level of support change over time?

Absolutely. Support can be increased, reduced or paused as your needs change. Because it is arranged around you, nothing is fixed in place.

Is there anything for families to be involved in?

Families are always welcome. Relatives can visit freely, join activities and meals, and raise questions with the team at any time.

What happens if I need help in the night?

The building has 24-hour emergency monitoring linked to a pendant or wristband alarm. A resident can summon assistance immediately, from anywhere in the building, without needing to reach a telephone.

No Pressure, Ever

Not sure what level of support is right? Let's talk it through.

Every resident's needs are different. Come and talk it through with us and we'll help you understand exactly what's available — and what it would mean for you or your family member.
